US: Automobile union calls for 40% wage increase, Biden comes to support

US President Biden went to Detroit, Michigan, on the 26th to support the striking United Auto Workers (UAW), asking the striking autoworkers to "hold on". He became the first sitting president to attend a strike. He also supported every move by the union. A four-day work week and a 40% salary increase. Former President Trump, who may face Biden again in the 2024 election, will also go to Detroit on the 27th to support labor unions. Before the trip, he criticized the Biden administration for promoting electric vehicles and pushing all car production to China.
